Donald L. Neumeister passed away on March 6, 2014 under the care of Hospice of Palm Beach County in Delray Beach, FL. Don was born December 16, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio. As a proud participant of the Greatest Generation Don joined the United States Navy in 1943, volunteered for submarine duty & patrolled the Pacific during WWII. He retired as a CPO after 22 yrs active duty & Naval Reserves.

Don worked at WGAR Radio in the early 60's, then at WJW-TV, a Cleveland CBS affiliate, as a technician & program engineer for over 25 yrs. Don loved a lifetime hobby of woodworking, designing & creating furniture & toys for relatives and friends, enough to fill numerous showrooms. "Can you fix it or make it Dad" was a statement not a question.

A devoted & loving husband & father, Don is survived by Betty, his WWII pen-pal & wife of over 65 yrs; son Ralph (Kelly) Neumeister; daughters, Diane (Larry) D'Argenio & Nancy (Ron) Falor. Poppy was much beloved by his 9 grandchildren & 10 great-grandchildren.

Don's life will be celebrated at noon on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Palm Beach National Chapel, 10055 Heritage Farms Road, Lake Worth, FL 33449.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Rd 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.

The family will host a memorial gathering at the Chapel immediately following the service.
