Donald Alan Hoban, 72 Boynton Beach.
Surrounded by his loving wife and family, Donald peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021. He was born on January 13, 1949 in Chicago, Ill. He was the second child of James and Charlotte Hoban. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in the Vietnam War as a Corpsman with the First Marine Division in 1968. Upon the end of his service, Don earned an Associate's degree in 1974 in Radiologic Technology and worked in that field, specializing in computerized tomography, for over 40 years before his retirement in 2019. Don enjoyed experimenting with gourmet recipes, gardening, travelling and driving along the beach in his Porsche Boxster. His greatest joy was having adventures with his grandsons and being a grandpa. He married his wife, Deborah Rosenstiehl, in 1976, in Summit, Ill. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Deborah, his three children, Meghan (Glenn) Hoffman, Conor Hoban and Colleen (Jared) Irsay, his two grandchildren, Jacob and Jonathan Irsay, his brothers, James and Douglas Hoban and his sister, Charlene Simpson.
