Petty Officer 3rd Class David Austin Moore Jr. (DJ) aged 21, passed away on June 21st, 2024. Born on October 30th, 2002. DJ was a beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend who touched the lives of many with his kind, loving and funny nature.
DJ's giving spirit and deep love for his family were evident in everything he did. He had a passion for music, gaming and skateboarding, and his infectious laughter and caring heart made him a cherished presence in the lives of those who knew him.
DJ proudly served in the United States Navy, where he was stationed on the USS Cooperstown in Mayport, Florida. He embarked on his naval journey attending boot camp and A school in Chicago. Throughout his service, DJ maintained close bonds with his family, often connecting with them through FaceTime, bringing joy and comfort despite the distances.
DJ is survived by his loving family, including his Mother & Step father Erica & Arthur Wood , Father David Moore Sr. & Step Mother Yating Zhao. His Sisters Destiney Pickwick, Deven Moore, Rachel Moore and step siblings Heaven Lederman, Aj, and Kenny Wood, niece Ella , nephews Oliver and Miles Lederman, grandmother Julie Harvis, Uncle Stephen Moore Sr & cousins Stephen Jr , Joshua, Estella Moore, and countless other Aunts, Uncles, and cousins who will forever hold his memory in their hearts. His legacy of kindness, humor, and love will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those he touched.
A Chapel Service will be held on July 10th at 12 PM at Palm Beach National Chapel 10055 Heritage Farm Rd. Lake Worth, FL with graveside service to follow at South Florida National Cemetery where friends and family will gather to celebrate DJ's life and the remarkable person he was.
Rest in peace, DJ. Your light will forever guide us.
