Betty Jo Altman Kurcbaum, 83, Boca Raton, Florida departed this life on July 8th, 2023. She was a loving daughter, wife, sister, aunt, great aunt, and friend. She was born on September 14th, 1939 in Green County, Kentucky.

Betty is survived by one sister: Rebecca Gorin; one nephew: Edward Gorin and wife Janet. One great niece: Aubrey Gorin; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Manek (Morrie) Kurcbaum on January 18th, 2022 and her parents Robert Franklin (Frank) Altman and Love D Higgason Altman and by her brother-in-law Edward R. Gorin. Betty had made a profession of faith.

She graduated from Greensburg High School in 1956. She then furthered her education at Campbellsville College and graduated in 1958. She continued her education in Medical Technology and earned her Registry at Norton's Infirmary in Louisville, Kentucky in 1959. She later specialized in blood banking, which she continued the remainder of her career.

Betty loved to travel with her husband, Morrie. They took many cruises and traveled extensively across the United States of America. One of Betty's favorite places was Montana. She loved sitting on the porch of a cabin where it was so peaceful and gazing out over the snowy capped mountains as far as the eye could see.
