Betty J. Carter, 98, of Jupiter, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Betty was the daughter of Mary Ellen Horn and Charles Shive. On May 17, 1950, she married the love of her life, Gerald Carter, with whom she shared a devoted and joyful marriage of 63 years, until his passing in 2012.

Betty is predeceased by her brother, Bill Shive, and sisters, Doris Clayton and Joyce Seabridge.

Betty lived a long life marked by kindness, strength, and an unwavering dedication to her family. She is survived by her loving children: Sharon, Bob (Judy), and Bill, who will miss her every day. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Jennifer (John), Lindsay (Zoltan), Travis (Jess), Ryan, Jeffrey, and Chelsey (Luke); and her adored great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Kinsley, Callie, Jordan, Peyton, Brayden, Kennedy, and Aliza. She is also survived by her sister, Audrey (Harry) Yost.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Trustbridge Hospice for the compassionate care and support they provided to Betty in her final days.  The family suggest donations in Betty's memory be made to Trustbridge Hospice or to a Charity of your choice.

She will be remembered always for her warmth, her quiet strength, and the deep love she gave to all who knew her.
