Mrs. Barbara Brasen, 78, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 at her Lake Worth home following a brief illness. Mrs. Brasen was born June 13, 1933 in New York, New York to the late Frederick & Dorothy (Donnelly) Mockel and moved to the Lake Worth area in 2003 from New York. She was a homemaker and attended St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Mrs. Brasen is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Richard Brasen; son, Ricky (Marcy) Brasen of Plainview, New York; daughter, Lorraine (Joe) Hussey of Lake Worth; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Brasen will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in the Chapel of Palm Beach National Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Interment will follow at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, Florida at 2:15 PM. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial donations be made to Hospice By The Sea, 1489 West Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton, Florida 32486.
