IN LOVING MEMORY OF
A.T.
Highland
April 9, 1947 – September 26, 2025
A.T. Highland
April 9, 1947 - September 26, 2025
A.T. passed away peacefully on Friday, September 26, 2025. He always had a good humor about everything and kept that intact until the day before his passing. He had many friends that he liked to be with and "swap lies" as he called his story telling.
He was born in Medford, Oregon to Aaron Tosco and Stella (Ross) Highland. His childhood was very happy in a loving family. He and his brother, Gary, got into the usual trouble young boys can find in a small town. His sister was the good one.
He graduated from Medford High School. He was involved with sports from an early age. He played and won awards in tennis, softball, basketball, and bowling. His latest sports pleasure was golfing. He played every Monday morning as close to 7:00 a.m. as possible so he could avoid the heat in Florida. Lots of other days of the week he was in the pool or at the gym.
He attended College of the Desert in Palm Desert, California for a short period of time but then enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1966 and went to Vietnam where he was wounded twice. He was very patriotic and glad to be one of the few and the proud. After his 1970 honorable discharge he moved to Garland, Texas where he enjoyed spending time in his boat on the lakes.
He was introduced to his spouse, Pat at the bowling alley in Garland in 1989. They married in April of 1992. He had previously been married and had a child in that marriage. The child, Jennifer predeceased him.
He is survived by his loving sister, Charlene who has two children. One child has a spouse and their children. His brother, Gary survives him along with his wife and their two children with spouses and children. He is survived by Pat and her two children and two grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life on November 10, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 at the Palm Beach National Chapel, 10055 Heritage Farms Road, Lake Worth Beach FL 33449.
