Arthur aka (Chick) Gutheil, 77, has passed away surrounded by his family at his home in Boca Raton on October 16, 2013. Chick is survived by his wife Grace, sons Barry (Jennifer) of West Palm Beach, Glenn of Miami and daughter Karen Cunningham (Brian) of Coconut Creek. He has 6 granddaughters Jessica, Brittani, Madison, Kristin, Chloe and Mackenzie who he adored and were his pride and joy.

Arthur was born to the late Lillian Lane and Arthur Gutheil in Amityville NY in 1936. He is survived by his sister Sue Piedmonte of Bayonet Point, Fl. He is also survived by many loving family members who he adored and adore him.

Chick resided in Farmingdale, NY where he attended High School and met his forever love Grace. They were married in 1957 and just celebrated 56 years of life and love together. Together they resided in Lindenhurst, NY where they raised their family and moved to Port St Lucie Florida in 1989, and currently living in Boca Raton, Fl since 2000.

Chick served in the United States Army in Gelnhausen Germany where is wife followed him for the duration. He was always proud to say his commanding officer was Lt. Colin Powell. He was retired from NY State Parks and Recreation where he was Supervisor of golf course operations for Bethpage State Park, NY. He was employed for 37 years with New York State.

His greatest pleasures in life were spending time with his family, golfing, listening to blues music, the mountains in Georgia and vacationing on the ocean with his family.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 12:00 and services at 12:30 at Palm Beach National Chapel, 10055 Heritage Farms Rd. Lake Worth, Fl 33449.

Burial immediately following at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S State Road 7, Lake Worth, Fl 33449 at 1:30.
