Antoinette (Toni) Massaro, 86, of Boynton Beach, FL, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 15, 2025. She is survived by her daughter Marina; her sister Rose Mavrikes; her brothers Fiorello, George, Gianni and Frank; and her nieces & nephews Jackie Boulin, Tom Mavrikes, Toni Marie Catucci, Christopher Valenti, Jeffrey Valente, Vanessa Valente, Amanda Valente Johnson, Justin Valente, Samantha Valente and Gianni Valenti. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph Massaro; her son Joseph Massaro Jr.; her nephew Michael Valenti; and her sister-in-law's Lucille Valenti, Bonnie Valente, and Charlotte Valente.
Toni was born on the 2nd of December 1938 to Marino and Giacomina Valente in Trani, Italy. She grew up in White Plains, NY, surrounded by her very large and loving Italian family. She graduated White Plains High in 1955 and became a citizen of the United States in 1959 at the age of 20. She married Joseph Massaro on 25th October 1964 and they shared 57 wonderful years together until his passing on 19th November 2021 at the age of 90. Toni and Joseph were devoted parents to their children, Marina and the late Joseph Massaro Jr.
Toni earned her cosmetology license in her 20's and spent decades in a career she loved, working well into her 70's. She was known for her talent but also for and her warm, friendly demeanor, building long lasting relationships with her clients.
More than anything, Toni will be most remembered for her incredible cooking. She showed her love through food ̶ whether preparing a holiday feast or a simple family meal, her kitchen was always the heart of the home. She loved to watch cooking shows, could beat anyone at Rummikub, and enjoyed yoga and Zumba classes. She was a kind, loyal friend, and a mom to all. Her home was always open, she welcomed everyone with open arms and unforgettable meals.
Toni will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1000 W. Lantana Road, Lantana FL 33462 on Thursday 29th May, 2025 at 12:30 PM. Burial will be held privately for immediate family. Flowers can be sent to the church, or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church
