Mr. Anthony "Tony" Joseph Stankus, 88, Boynton Beach, died Monday March 26, 2012 at JFK Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Stankus was born May 5, 1923 in Waterbury, Connecticut to the late Stanley & Anna (Supulus) Stankus and moving to the Boynton Beach area in 1982 from Connecticut. He was a proud United States Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Stankus is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Dolores (Galgoto) Stankus; sons, Anthony Stankus of Boynton Beach and Ronald (Julie) Stankus of Westwood, New Jersey; daughters, Eileen (Gary) Wolff of Tolland, Connecticut and Roz (Bill) Hartman of Tiburon, California; 8 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Stankus will be celebrated 10:00 am Thursday, March 29, 2012 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 10935 South Military Trail, Boynton Beach. Interment will follow the Mass at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth at 11:15 AM
