IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ann S.
Brinson
July 1, 1942 – April 20, 2025
Ann S. Brinson, "Nana" to her grandchildren, was born July 1, 1942, in Atlanta, Georgia. She returned to her beloved family and Jesus in heaven on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025. Ann was predeceased by her mother Bernice Gallagher, her father Arthur Seaver, and her brother James Seaver. She is survived by her loving husband Glenn Brinson, daughter and son in law, Beth and David Des Jardins, son and daughter in law, Bob Brinson and Michele Howard, and five grandchildren, Brandon Des Jardins, Kaitlin Des Jardins, Allison Des Jardins, Evie Brinson, and Tessa Brinson. Ann was under hospice care and passed away peacefully at home with family by her side.
In her youth, Ann attended Christ the King Catholic Church, went to parochial school, graduated from North Fulton High School, and then, while at Georgia State College, she met the love of her life on a blind date. Theirs is a story of happiness and devotion that lasted 63 years until God called her home. Ann and Glenn spent the early years of marriage separated by extended periods as he was in the Air Force; mail was their primary means of communication. Once reunited, they lived in the Philippines and enjoyed traveling abroad. This was to become a common passion for both. Together they visited India, Thailand, Hong Kong, and several countries in Europe. One story Ann liked to recount was how her
daughter also traveled to India with them and enjoyed a ride on an elephant, all unbeknownst to them, as Ann learned of her first pregnancy upon return home.
Family life was always of paramount importance to both Ann and Glenn. Upon completion of his military duty, the now family of three moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, where Bob was born. North Carolina became home to the Brinson family for the next 38 years. Ann, as always, was a devoted member of the Catholic church. The couple immersed themselves in multiple volunteer roles in the church and parochial schools their children attended. Ann was known as the milk ticket lady, the school bus route coordinator, the uniform sales lady, CCHS snack shack lady, the swim team helper, and avid supporter of the Harris YMCA in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Volunteerism and family defined Ann's life. Everywhere she lived, she immediately volunteered for charitable causes. The couple moved to West Palm Beach in 2007 where she quickly became involved in church life at St. Rita Catholic Church. Ann was an active member of the CCW and Wellington cares. She also worked part time in retail to keep active and meet new people. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, whose warmth touched many lives; this is what she will be remembered for.
If you would like to join our family in a Celebration of Life for Ann, a funeral mass will be held at St. Rita Catholic Church, 13645 Paddock Dr. Wellington, FL on May 15, 2025 @ 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wellington Cares, now known as Our Community Cares FL, or Catholic Charities of Palm Beach in her memory.
