Anita R Hoefs, 77, of W.P.B., Fl passed away on Sunday December 17, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband, Floyd Hoefs and sister Kathy Barry. Anita has left many family & dear friends with wonderful memories & our prayers are for her to now be free of pain & her sweet sprit, to always be with us.
Anita was born on February 8, 1946, in Charlotte, NC, to J D & Anita Rowell and shortly after her birth, her family moved to WPB, Fl. She attended Forest Hill High school & Palm Bch State College before starting her thirty year career at Bell South. While working for Bell South she met the love of her life, Floyd Hoefs & instantly became a stepmom to five & special "nanny" to a multitude of grandchildren, that she loved dearly.
Anita was a devoted member of the the Order of the Eastern Star Iretta Sherman Chapter #145, Ladies Oriental Shrine, Zem Zem Court and served as High Priestess(1994) & Queen of AquariusTemple in (2015). She and her late husband were very devoted to the Shriners mission to help children in need.
She is survived by her loving sister, Diana Deviney, Nephews: Brent Deviney & Richard Barry (Breeze), Grand Nephew & Nieces; Cameron Barry (Kristina) Coral DeRenzo (Bobby) & Kate Deviney & Anita's dear friend Linda Rhinehart.
Step Children; Sandi Bowers (Dave), Richard Hoefs (Deborah) , Charles Hoefs (Connie), Cindi Palmer (Larry) , John Hoefs (Nancy) and 10 grandchildren , 5 great grandchildren.
