May 5, 1945 – February 6, 2025
The Lebano family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of their beloved patriarch, father, grandfather, brother, and treasured friend to many, Albert Gustavo Lebano. "Al" (as he was best known) departed this life very unexpectedly and accidentally at his home in Boynton Beach, Florida on February 6th, 2025 at the age of 79. His kind soul and gentle heart will be remembered by so many and the loss of him is felt so tremendously.
Born in Brooklyn, New York on May 5th , 1945 to Guistinanno Lebano and Adele Mary (Rubinacci) Lebano, Albert graduated from Half Hallow Hills High School in 1964 and was a strong member of baseball, track, wrestling, and football teams of his alma mater. Albert G. Lebano was Specialist four, Company C, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) 1st Special Forces of Fort Devens, Massachusetts. He completed the United States Army Airborne Course at Fort Benning, Georgia. He also completed the Combat Engineer course and Special Forces training course at Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1968. Al was awarded an Honorable Discharge from the Armed Forces of the United States of America on August 1st, 1973. He resided in Long Island, New York from 1951 to 2004 at which time he retired to Boynton Beach, Florida to be closer to family. Al's life was centered upon spending time with cherished family and friends, golfing with his sons, shooting, fishing with his grandchildren, and playing cards with his family. His generosity and willingness to fix anything for anyone that he knew was admired by all.
Albert Lebano was the adored Father to and survived by his three children, Guistinanno (Justin) Vincenzo Lebano of Lake Worth, FL., Mario Lebano of Lake Worth, FL., and Julie Marie (Lebano) Deluca of Yonkers, NY. Father-in-Law to Christin Lynn (Fillebrown) Lebano, Laurie Ann (Boudreau) Lebano, and David Frances Deluca.
Grandfather to Isabella Leah Lebano, Sophia Debra Lebano, Milania Josephine Lebano, Luca Salvatore Lebano, Matteo Albert Lebano, Carlo Hunter Grillo, and Stevie Marie Deluca.
Albert is also survived by his second wife, Debra Camille (DeFrisco) Lebano and his first wife, Marla Feldman.
Brother-in-Law to, Vittorio (Victor) DeFrisco and Vittorio's wife, Joanne Helen (Zarza) Defrisco.
Uncle to Christopher Gus Lebano, Christopher's wife, Hui (Deng) Lebano, Laura Ann (Lebano) O'Brien, Laura's husband, Gregory Mark O'Brien, Heather Marie (DeFrisco) Arouh, Heather's husband, Jaime Mikhael Arouh, Thomas Joseph (T.J.) Santeramo, Joseph Andrew Santeramo, and Adele Scotti.
Great Uncle to Caroline Patricia (O'Brien) Merlino, Caroline's husband, Michale Anthony Merlino, Matthew Gregory Obrien, Matthew's fiancé Carly Kay Wilson, Ella Jade Arouh, Blake Alexis Arouh, Alexander James DeFrisco, and Andrew Joseph Santeramo.
Brother to Marie (Lebano) Scotti.
Albert is predeceased by his parents, His Brother, Gennaro Lebano, his Sister-in-Law, Caroline Jean (Tettamant) Lebano, and his Nephew and Godson, Salvatore DeFrisco.
A funeral service to honor the life of Albert will be held on Feb 14th, 2025, 4pm - 8pm at Palm Beach National Chapel Funeral Home
Al will be laid to rest on February 20th 10am at Palm Beach National Cemetery
